Shiloh Village School District #85 Schools will be in session tomorrow, Thursday, January 9, pending any unexpected emergency, thank you to our custodial staff and the city for working diligently to create safe conditions for us to go. I do want to prepare everyone for the possibility of a snow day Friday, looking at the forecast. Thank you for your understanding and we look forward to seeing everyone back tomorrow!

Due to school cancellation volleyball tryouts for Wednesday January 8th have been canceled. Tryout dates are now: Thursday January 9th and Friday January 10th. Girls tryouts are 3:15-4:30 and Boys tryouts are 4:30-6:00 on both Thursday and Friday.

Good afternoon, Unfortunately Shiloh Village School District #85 Schools will be closed again tomorrow, Wednesday, January 8th. Thank you for understanding that many factors go into these decisions, including the various parts of the district, temperatures, ice and refreezing, input from the bus company, and the conditions of sidewalks and bus stops. We thank those in our community who have helped by clearing sidewalks and bus stops in front of your homes. We are also very grateful to the Village of Shiloh crew who are working24/7 to clear roads and our own maintance staff for clearing the parking lots and sidewalks at both schools. Due to inclement weather and the inability to get side streets cleared for busing our students in the morning, Shiloh Village School District #85 schools will not be in session on Tuesday, January 7th. Please stay warm and safe!

Due to inclement weather and driving conditions Volleyball Tryouts scheduled for Monday January 6th have been canceled. Tryout dates are now: Tuesday January 7th and Wednesday January 8th. Girls Tryouts are 3:15-5:00 and Boys Tryouts are 5:00-7:00.

Bus 1944 had mechanical issues as it was headed to SMS. It is currently running at least 30 minutes behind. The bus company is ending another bus.

Butter Braid Fundraiser Pickup will be on Tuesday, December 17th from 2:30-5:00 pm at the SMS cafeteria. Thank you to all who participated in the fundraiser.

Congrats and thank you to our 8th grade Basketball teams and Cheerleaders.

The 8th grade served the community today by helping the residents of Addington Place of Shiloh make Christmas ornaments.

Two of our SMS ELA teachers, Mrs. Michelle Jensen and Ms. Julie Carson, had the amazing opportunity to meet actor C. Thomas Howell who played the lead character, Ponyboy, from the iconic film “The Outsiders”. Each has taught this novel for over 25 years, and always a student favorite, making this moment a dream come true! 💛 Stay gold!

The Fall Band/Choir Concert was held on Tuesday, October 29th. Over 100 students performed and they were fantastic!

Shiloh Middle School Bus 1945 is running about 15 minutes late today!

PTO will be hosting our annual Trunk or Treat event on Wednesday, October 16th 5:30-6:30. We had a great turnout last year and need your help to make this year a success too! Below is a link to sign up to enter a trunk for the event. In order for this to be a success, we really need at least 20 trunks. We will be handing out prizes for 1st, 2nd & 3rd. We also have our Teachers' Trophy up for grabs with a special surprise for the winning teachers this year. The Softball Regional that was scheduled for today is canceled and rescheduled for tomorrow at 4:15 in Smithton.

The baseball and softball games for this afternoon have been canceled due to rain. More communication will follow from the coaches regarding 8th grade night.
