Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are truly excited that all of our students have their own Chromebook and our teachers have new technology tools for teaching. Further, that our curriculum is directly linked to the Chromebooks. With that being said, we were asking for your partnership as we work through an issue uncovered after two quarters of this process. The majority of our students are doing what was requested which is charging their laptops each night and bringing them to be ready for learning.
We still have some that struggle with this process. To that end, we are implementing a new procedure that involves progressive reminders to students to charge and bring their Chromebook to school daily:
1st Occurrence- Note Home to Parent/Guardian
2nd Occurrence- Note Home to Parent/Guardian
3rd Occurrence- Note Home to Parent/Guardian and Administration Will Contact Parent/Guardian
4th Occurrence- Note Home, Administration Will Contact Parent/Guardian, Lunch Detention
5th Occurrence or More- Note Home, Administration Will Contact Parent/Guardian, After School Detention
(Students will start new with no occurrences at the beginning of each school year)
Please know this will begin on November 14 with all students beginning with no violations or concerns. Also, understand that we are doing this in an effort to help our students develop more responsibility for their educational tools and to modify behavior so that they can be successful.
