It’s a great day to be a Wildcat! We believe every child entrusted to our care deserves our best support academically and emotionally. Whether it’s working with students to provide extra academic support, helping our students learn self-regulation skills, emotional intelligence, or urging them to achieve more than they think possible, the incredibly talented and devoted faculty and staff of Shiloh Village Schools are here to assure our students succeed each day.
In the past two years, we as a nation have had to face many challenges. Those challenges didn’t define us, they made us stronger – Shiloh Strong - to work harder and smarter to make sure we can serve our students and families. Over the period of six months, our students have gone one-to-one with their own Chromebooks and implemented wifi access to ensure equity so all children will have Internet access in the home. This will be used to access new and robust curriculum. Our teachers have new technology tools as well, including interactive 75 inch monitors in their classrooms. All due to a major investment from our Board of Education to help Shiloh Schools and, more importantly, Shiloh students advance. Exciting things are happening in our schools and the Shiloh Schools are eager to partner with our families because we understand that our students have infinite potential.
My favorite day of the school year will be here tomorrow. There’s nothing better than that first day when our students walk in their buildings. I love to watch the interactions between our students and their new teachers as they begin the year. It’s a fresh start with adults that will believe in them, with new friends and learning journeys ahead. I look forward to seeing many of you tomorrow. I hope you will join me in welcoming our students back to school for a year of reaching just a little higher than they believe possible. We hope you have had a wonderful summer and we look forward to a great year of learning ahead.
